The Evolution of Israel’s Settler Colonialism

Abstract

Settler Colonialism is the process in which foreign people migrate to a different geographical location and settles at that location. At the outlook this phenomenon may seem innocuous, but it has a much darker side as well. Unlike Colonialism where the motive of the colonial state is pure materiali.e.theimperialstatetriesto exploitthe resourcesof the colony as much as possible, the motive of the Settler Colonial states is rather insidious. In settler colonialism the settler colonies aim to eradicate the Culture, Values, Institutions, Mores etc. of the local inhabitants. In doing so the colonial power may also displace and dispossess the local population or simply annihilate them.
